Never Leave Home Without It!
The other day, my mother called to ask me to come to the parsonage to sign a wedding card, as all the church ladies were signing. I really don’t know the happy bride-to-be very well, and was just racing out the door to catch another appointment, but she was persistent, and I said I’d drop by on my way out.
It just happened that it was a holiday, and had been declared “work day” at the church. I seem to just get in the way when I attend those, so I hadn’t given it much thought. Normally I woudn’t bother to carry my camera in such a hectic situation, but there was my good friend Mrs. Tsubakihara, all dressed up like a professional cleaning lady, and sweeping away in front of the Church with a big smile on her face. As if sweeping the street was just her greatest delight!

I came in for a closer shot, and she crunched up her nose into dozens of happy wrinkles, smiling so big her eyes nearly disappeared. She’s usually ever so self conscious, and won’t let me take pictures at all, so this was a terrific moment – what the Japanese call a “shutter chance.”
Just a quick example of why it’s a good idea to always carry your camera!

She looks like an anime doll, so cute and happy. The joy of sweeping? Must be an aquired art?
May be a Zen thing!
This lady has a really warm smile on her face, reflects her joy and also a big friendly attitude.
Wow! Thank you very much!
I always wanted to write in my blog something like that. Can I take part of your post to my blog?
Of course, I will add backlink?
Regards, Reader
