Will it work with my glasses?

It could, but the cons will not worthwhile. First with a 2x teleconverter you lose all f 2 stops, which means your 70-300 F/4-5.6 IS becomes a f/5.6-8 and your being a 18-55 f? -8. Second most definitely loose AF and in the remote possibility of there still be painfully slow. The viewfinder is dimmer and taking action photos or even have a shutter speed fast enough to compensate for camera movement will be difficult to 300 mm in all but the best lighting conditions.
